God -vs- Evolution (God Won!)
1. Can you believe in the God of the Bible and believe in evolution at the same time?
No. The reason is that evolution does not allow for a creator or an 'intelligent' beginning. The Bible says that death was the result of sin. Evolution requires death to occur before man and women are even 'evolved.' Also, evolution requires a long time (millions and billions of years) for life to evolve. The Bible, on the other hand, declares that God created in six 24-hour days.
These are the reasons that it is difficult to logically convince someone of the truth of creation if they have never experienced God.
2. What are the three main tenants of evolution?
a. There can be no creator, and no intelligence before life begins. Everything must have begun from nothing (contrary to science).
b. Evolution requires a long time for life to change from one species to another.
c. Everything must have evolved slowly from the same single cell organism. (men, women, low intelligence to higher intelligence, material to
non-material). Of course, this too, is contrary to science and physics.
3. What are the best scientific evidences that help a person believe in Genesis 1:1
a. The question "FROM?" is no doubt my favorite. Always ask the question of every evolutionary process: "where did it come from?" and eventually
you arrive at a God or intelligent designer ... you must!
b. The evolutionary process of 'mutation' is a process that science has proven to almost always result in lower forms, not higher forms of life; usually
deformed life.
c. Evolution cannot provide more complex life from lower life; this is scientifically impossible.
d. Science declares that one element of life does not have the information in which to mutate into a totally different kind of life form. Nor can it develop
into a higher life form which requires more information. It cannot develop information on it's own.
e. Science says that matter cannot create non-matter (like a DVD...it weighs the same whether it is blank or has a movie copied onto it. the movie
is "information,' it is non-matter).
f. In order for amino acids, part of the building blocks of the single cell, must have 'evolved' in an oxygen-free environment. It could not have evolved
with oxygen in the atmosphere. However, after it immediately became an amino acid, the oxygen-free environment would have killed it, because
amino acids require oxygen to survive.
g. Basic life...just the single cell (not the entire organ of the one part of the body...but just one cell) requires a minimum of 250 proteins. however,
each one must be in the correct order, and then each protein must be in the right place of those 250 in order for it to work for life. Science
estimates that this would take TRILLIONS of TRILLIONS of years in order to have happened accidentally. Not even the 6 billion years that
evolution says it took for all of life to occur is long enough to have developed even one cell accidentally.
